Got my costume in a couple of days ago. :) I'll be going as little red riding hood for the party I'm throwing this year. I might post pictures if I can find the time then.

One Piece

Not sure if anyone else following this blog reads manga or not, so most can just ignore this post. lol One Piece has become one of my favorite series and as you can tel by the splash page is very...eccentric. Recently the manga went on a four week break on a huge cliffhanger and a supposed time skip in the story of two years. This friday chapter 597 should be out and I can't wait to see what the new character designs will be as well as the new arc that will be starting.

Also is it just me or does it seem like every major series has a time skip in it now adays?

Anyone else watching this show? I love it so far, with this and the new scooby doo series it looks like cartoon network is finally making good shows again. Who knows who actually had the bright idea to make live action shows and to cancel toonami... Not to mention it's by Genndy Tartakovsky so it's bound to only get better. ( Samurai Jack, Power Puff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, etc.)

Green Owls

These cute little owl earrings are made of hand painted porcelain in colors of green, pink, and yellow. These owls are double sided and hang from gold plated french hooks and measure 1 1/2" long.

Olive green faceted lucite is hand wrapped in silver and hangs from a pair of large silver plated kidney ear wires. Lucite is vintage and made to look like real stones. They measure 2 3/4" long.

I'm beginning to really reconsider teaching as a career option. The classes I'm taking now for it are going to be the death of me and have sucked any fun and love out of what I had thought I would finally go into. It also doesn't help that one of the teacher's is so ridiculously difficult that I believe she's either sadistic or insane or a little bit of both. Not to mention I've been on the verge of tears for a few hours now because of the stress.
*sigh*
Like really why should I write thirty book reviews when you're only going to grade 10 of them and the books have to be from a narrow list of titles you came up with or from our book? It isn't as if we can't tell the difference, or you can't tell us, between fantasy and historical fiction. Why should I go 2 hours out of my way to do observations? Do you think we won't do it in the first place, that we're all that incompetent?

Pumpkin Carving

Another pumpkin I made a couple of years ago. It was my first attempt at pumpkin carving and I think it turned out great. :) It's based off a character design by CLAMP.

Kittens!

Here's the two biggest laying in a bag of stuffed animals that went later into the building out front.

The other three, who are all oddly colored. Must come from their mother. lol The gray calico is dad's, the other calico is mine ( along with the two in the other picture), and my sister called dibs on the black/white kitten. I need to try to think of names for them. ^^

Last day of Festival

Went to the festival today to get some food. Wasn't much, but I guess everyone's preparing for Jenny Wiley Festival in about two weeks.

Butterfly Cameo

Festival

Festival is down the street today and tomorrow, will have to go and get some funnel cake before they start packing up. Looks like there's not many stands, but it should be interesting. We definitely take pictures tomorrow. :)

Stone Stretch Bracelet

Try saying that five times fast...

I always get to my Greek-Renaisannce Lit class super early so while I had the time I made this in the car. Took me about an hour or so, since this was my first ever attempt at a bacelet like this, but I think it turned out pretty good.

This stone bracelet is made from smooth red and orange stones that remind me of an open fire. Seperated by ornate silver spacers, this bracelet is stretchable. Measures 3 1/2" across and 7" round.

Pumpkin Time

This is one of two pumpkins I carved last year. Picture was taking just after I finished it and I think it turned out really well. First time I actually used a template that I didn't make. Which reminds me that I need to think of some new designs for this year before I run out of time. lol

Black Rose Necklace

This necklace is made with a large black rose cabochon mounted on a piece of elegnat filgree and hangs from a silver chain that end with two jet black swarovski crystals.

Chain measures 22" long and pendant measures 1 1/2" tall and 1 3/4" long.

My sister's love this piece since it's perfect for an evening out or to wear just to go out to school or around town. :)

Anyone else excited about this movie? I grew up on stories of the triple crown and horses like Secretariat from my dad. They're the only sporting events I really get into. I even went to the Lexington Horse park for my sixteenth birthday and got to see Secretariat and other famous race horses racing silks.

Kentucky Highland Folk Festival

Going to be working not far away from the festival this year. Should be a lot of fun and it's always a bonus when I get to eat really unhealthy food that only comes around maybe four times a year. I'll try and post pictures this weekend if I can remember to get a hold of my sister's camera.

Bit of info:
The 46th Kentucky Highland Folk Festival featuring live music, arts, crafts, food and more. The festival will open to the schools on Friday, September 18 at 9:30 and will run until 2:00 p.m. It will then be open to the public from 2 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday the festival will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will be live entertainment, crafts, games, and good food. There will be a National Youth Storytelling Showcase, Pig Roast, Cornhole Tournament, Entertainment on the Outdoor Stage, Sledgehammer Competition.

Leviathan Necklace

This sea creature necklace is based on legends of nautical monsters of the deep as drawn on the edges of maps. Wrapped around his torso dangles a smokey faceted swarovski crystal. Pendant is antiqued silver plated. The necklace it hangs from measures 24" not including the pendant.

Victorian BMX

Starting a Halloween line

Carved Obsidian Necklace

This necklace shows off a fox carved from obsidian and hangs from a filigree style bail. Four swarovski crystals, in clear and black connect the pendant to a silver plated chain that measures 18" not including the extender chain.
Is perfect for the fox collector or for anyone who wants to wear a little something unique.
Pendant has swirls of lighter shades of black and grey on it that is apart of the stone and can't really be seen in the pictures.

Day Trip

Went with my cousin out yesterday to the city, which is still pretty small and went to the outlook. :) As you can see we were very high up. There was also a walkway platform where the first picture is taken from.

Handpainted Bangle

New Puppy
