So last year and the year before I've been featured in the Cut-Thru Review that is a collection of art and writings from my community. They finally put up the website and I thought I'd share my poetry that's up here.

Bloop

An odd video that I'll post for you gys today and hope it'll make you think about the world around you. :) The Bloop has always intrigued me and thought I'd share it.

What created this strange sound in Earth's Pacific Ocean? Pictured above is a visual representation of a loud and unusual sound, dubbed a Bloop, captured by deep sea microphones in 1997. In the above graph, time is shown on the horizontal axis, deep pitch is shown on the vertical axis, and brightness designates loudness. Although Bloops are some of the loudest sounds of any type ever recorded in Earth's oceans, their origin remains unknown. The Bloop sound was placed as occurring several times off the southern coast of South America and was audible 5,000 kilometers away. Although the sound has similarities to those vocalized by living organisms, not even a blue whale is large enough to croon this loud. The sounds point to the intriguing hypothesis that even larger life forms lurk in the unexplored darkness of Earth's deep oceans. A less imagination-inspiring possibility, however, is that the sounds resulted from some sort of iceberg calving. No further Bloops have been heard since 1997, although other loud and unexplained sounds have been recorded.

Easter Eggs!

So I've spent the last few hours making eggs. Started out with boiling eggs and realised I didn't have dye or vinegar. Luckily I never clean my car out so after some digging around in my trunk I found an egg kit and looking in one of the cabinets I found what looks like a bottle of vinegar made in the 70's. I should have taken a picture of that. 

And while I don't post often, I thought it'd be fun to post of few tidbits on easter eggs. :) Taken from wiki:

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour

I'm sure several people have already seen the shortened version on tv, but I loved the song and had to look it up. Found this and had to post it up here. Would love to go to a party like this. :D

I grew up loving pokemon and I found this site about a year ago. It's another pet click site, but I do love it and it's a lot cheaper than buying the games. lol

Saw this on youtube and had to post it. This is just fun and reminds me of my dad who is a huge Elvis fan. <3

Brenda Lee - Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

Who hasn't grown up to this song? It's a part of my chldhood as I'm sure it is many others. It's kinda sad that my youngest sister doesn't really appreciate the classic Christmas music, but someday I'll get her to like it. :P

Dragcave

Anyone here ever been on dragcave? It's one of those virtual pet sites, but with dragons. These are beautifully done sprites and it's fun to collect them all, especially the holiday released dragons!

Ghost Adventures-Bobby Mackey's

Looks like the new Ghost Adventures season is going to be a good one. :) I'm excited that the guys are going to places in Kentucky too.

Costume

Got my costume in a couple of days ago. :) I'll be going as little red riding hood for the party I'm throwing this year. I might post pictures if I can find the time then.

Sym-bionic Titan

Anyone else watching this show? I love it so far, with this and the new scooby doo series it looks like cartoon network is finally making good shows again. Who knows who actually had the bright idea to make live action shows and to cancel toonami... Not to mention it's by Genndy Tartakovsky so it's bound to only get better. ( Samurai Jack, Power Puff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, etc.)

Rallies

Couldn't find an more recent picture of them together.

 Anyone going to rally to restore sanity and/or march to keep fear alive? I wish I could go, but I guess I live too far away and school is anchoring me here. :/ I think it'll be pretty fun to see and I'm excited to at least hear about it on tv.

Woes...

*skip please if you don't want to listen to my frustration*

I'm beginning to really reconsider teaching as a career option. The classes I'm taking now for it are going to be the death of me and have sucked any fun and love out of what I had thought I would finally go into. It also doesn't help that one of the teacher's is so ridiculously difficult that I believe she's either sadistic or insane or a little bit of both. Not to mention I've been on the verge of tears for a few hours now because of the stress.
*sigh*
Like really why should I write thirty book reviews when you're only going to grade 10 of them and the books have to be from a narrow list of titles you came up with or from our book? It isn't as if we can't tell the difference, or you can't tell us, between fantasy and historical fiction. Why should I go 2 hours out of my way to do observations? Do you think we won't do it in the first place, that we're all that incompetent?

Last day of Festival

Went to the festival today to get some food. Wasn't much, but I guess everyone's preparing for Jenny Wiley Festival in about two weeks.

Festival

Festival is down the street today and tomorrow, will have to go and get some funnel cake before they start packing up. Looks like there's not many stands, but it should be interesting. We definitely take pictures tomorrow. :)

Anyone else excited about this movie? I grew up on stories of the triple crown and horses like Secretariat from my dad. They're the only sporting events I really get into. I even went to the Lexington Horse park for my sixteenth birthday and got to see Secretariat and other famous race horses racing silks.
